Google Glass: New Applications to Boost its Functionality The ground-breaking technological marvel, Google Glass is set to get a shot in the arm that’ll take its usability to the next level. Google Inc. has announced that they’ll add seven new applications (apps) in order to enhance the gadget’s functionality. Some of these apps are CNN that will provide alerts of breaking news, fashion updates from Elle, Facebook posts, Tumblr, Twitter and reminders from Evernote.

As of now Google has named its apps as ‘Glassware’. The announcement came during its annual I/O developers’ convention. This was the largest congregation of people wearing the Glass in a single venue all at the same time. All those seven apps will follow the existing two apps (Path and the New York Times) currently adorning the Glass. These glasses have been developed to provide search services, maps, mobile phone connectivity to send text messages, create videos and take pictures.
